Dystopian Lit

I've been reading quite a bit of dystopian literature lately: Lord of the Flies, A Clockwork Orange, The Road, Hunger Games, Catching Fire and now George Orwell's 1984.

Just finished reading 1984 and I'm trying to catch my breath. I thought I had read this book in 8th or 9th grade, but honestly I don't think I had ever finished it because this book shocked me. I mean, obviously I knew all about Big Brother, etc (all the stuff in Part 1) but everything in Parts 2 & 3 were insane and completely new to me.

My next read will hopefully be a lot more optimistic!

So excited that the weekend is here!
